Ahmed Mouici is a French singer of Algerian origin born on July 9, 1963 in Chambéry in Savoy.

In 1977, Ahmed Mouici founded his first band, the Rock’in Cats. He won his first rock springboard solo under the pseudonym Gene Everett in 1983, then recorded the following year his 1st 45 rpm produced by Jezabel Rock.

In 1989, he joined the vocal group named Pow Wow with Alain Chennevière (founder of the group), Pascal Periz and Bertrand Pierre. This fashionable group quickly became a cult for a whole generation with its hit The Cat. Released in 1992, the song is ranked directly in the Top 50 from the first day and becomes a hit. However, the Pow Wow adventure ends when the band breaks up, in 1998.

In 2000, Ahmed Mouici was selected to play Ramses in the musical The Ten Commandments, by Élie Chouraqui and Pascal Obispo. The comedy was a huge success between the 1st performance in October 2000 and its end in 2003 in France. Ahmed Mouici has since reprised his role as Ramses in the Ten Commandments during tours in Japan (March 2005) and Korea (April 2006).

With the triumph of this show, Ahmed Mouici signs on the WEA label to record a solo album. Her first single Look at Me was released in April 2002. This was followed by the album Je prends le temps in 2003.

In 2006, Ahmed Mouici participated in the 2nd volume of the project Around the blues initiated by Denys Lable and Michael Jones. It is a tribute to the blues standards in which Francis Cabrel, Patrick Verbeke, Tanya Saint-Val, Dick Rivers, Beverly Jo Scott, etc. participate.

In 2013, Ahmed Mouici returns to the stage with a new band during a concert he gives at the Scarabée hall in Chambéry (his birthplace) (Savoy). The first media appearance of “Ahmed & The Golden Moments” takes place on the blues café live show on Jazz Radio on April 3, 2014. He interprets some of his compositions live and a version of a James Brown song whose video1, acclaimed by Internet users, will allow him to be spotted by M6 who then offers him to participate in the Rising Star2 show
