Respected Finnish jazz guitarist and composer Kari Antila releases his new album “Dahill Road”, which weaves a rich tapestry of melodic journeys and rhythmic explorations. In a career spanning more than fifteen years, which has taken him from Finland to Belgium and New York, Antila has become one of Finland’s most internationally renowned jazz guitarists. His works to date have been heard at numerous major national and international festivals, including the renowned Pori Jazz and the Belgian JazzLab Series.Antila will be joined by Kaisa Mäensivu, a Finnish double bassist and composer who has carved her own path in the world of jazz. Currently living in New York, the Manhattan School of Music graduate has won several awards and leads her own jazz quartet Kaisa’s Machine. Her finesse on the double bass and her compositional skills will undoubtedly give “Dahill Road” a unique touch.
