A precocious pianist, she began her musical studies at the age of three: Discovered by Frank Marshall, a disciple of Enrique Granados, he incorporated her into the prestigious Marshall Academy, of which he was a continuator. There he met Arthur Rubinstein, Alfred Cortot, Conchita Badia and other great pianists of the time.5 When Marshall left Spain in 1936 she was forced to continue her studies on her own until 1939, when she resumed working with her teacher until his death, continuing her steps at the head of his academy since 1959.6​He performed his first concert at the age of six, at the Universal Exhibition of Barcelona in 1929, and at the age of eleven he participated in his first official concert, with the Madrid Symphony Orchestra. From 1939 he offered concerts with different European orchestras, but it was in 1954 when he starred in a tour of the United States with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra, invited by Alfred Wallenstein, that his international recognition began for his impeccable piano technique.7 Since then, until 2003 (the year of her farewell from the stages), she gave more than 3500 concerts on the 5 continents, although it was in North America where she was most required, making three annual tours (of three months each)
