In 2024, Annett Louisan’s debut album “Bohème” celebrated its 20th anniversary. Now a new edition with bonus material (remix / live) is released.

Annett Louisan’s debut album is entitled “Bohème” and contains an extraordinary mixture of dissolute pop pearls and sugary meanness. The 25-year-old from Hamburg was produced by text partner Frank Ramond, who uses her stories and experiences to forge first-class songs that are looking for their equal in terms of textual sophistication and melody.First of all, it is the voice that captures. Annett has a very delicate, seductive elven voice, so close to the ear that you can feel her breath streaking across her face. The relaxed arrangements and the French-inspired boulevard jazz instrumentation elegantly adapt to this voice. In this way, Annett can easily and effortlessly aim the contents of the songs exactly at the heart, stomach and senses, where they will instantly settle down and will not let go again so quickly.

In her first single “Das Spiel”, Annett knows all too well how much she gets her partner going, but boldly claims “I just want to play, I’m not doing anything”! As an alternative to the original album version of the title, the radio mix impresses with Werner Becker’s flair for precise string arrangements.
