Und so ist sein Soloalbum „Rag Bag“ eine Reise zwischen Zeiten und Welten, ein Flickenteppich aus unterschiedlichsten Motiven, Stilen und Assoziationen. Keimzelle der Musik des Albums ist der Ragtime, eine der frühsten Formen des Jazz. Lhotzky sagt: „Bis heute liebe ich an dieser Musik, dass sie so warm, lebensbejahend und unverstellt ist und einfach nur so strotzt vor Vitalität und ehrlicher Freude.“
