Nurture, the second album from BirdWorld, will be released on Dugnad rec on March 28, 2025. Marking a bold step forward from their debut, Nurture weaves cello, percussion, kalimbas, field recordings, and electronics into a rich and lyrical tapestry of sound. Developed remotely during the pandemic—when both members also became fathers—the album reflects themes of care, transformation, and intimacy, conveyed through an increasingly distilled and expressive musical language.Following singles “Coroico” and “Let Sleeping Babies Lie” and a return from their 2024 Edinburgh Fringe performances, BirdWorld will embark on a European and Scandinavian tour to support the release.

Recorded with Øyvind Røsrud at Flerbruket Studio (Norway) after a residency at Seanse in Volda, the album features guest contributions from Harpreet Bansal (violin), Maria Dybbroe (saxophone), and Sara Övinge (violin). Nurture is a spacious and emotionally resonant journey that expands BirdWorld’s sonic palette in exciting new directions.
