The record is all the more intriguing when considering the fact that this New-York label has signed itself a Finish crooner – somewhat unchartered territory for the label’s soul and funk production. For this first album, Bobby has joined forces with soul royalty from his homeland: the group of producers and backing band of the label Timmion Records also known as Cold Diamond & Mink (Nicole Willis, Myron & E), comprised of Jukka Sarapää, Sami Kantelinen and guitarist and composer Seppo Salmi. An astute ensemble that deliver the perfect lo-fi sound to bring out the best in the crooner’s ethereal voice.
