Charles Pasi is releasing ‘ADAMAS’, his 6th studio album, & 3rd on Blue Note Records. In Greek, ‘Adamas’ means ‘indomitable, indestructible’. It is also the origin of the word ‘diamond’, the precious stone that is so difficult to cut (Charles, who has been fascinated by gemmology since childhood, has a double degree in the subject). “This album is a story of ghosts, of extension, of lightness and eternity. Leaving a trace. Not forgetting without ever moping. Drawing a new path in our dust, far from the unadventurous motorways. ‘What do you leave behind when you leave?” wonders Charles. “My record, despite the recurrence of loss, is not sad. It is, yes, soothing. Death, like the ancient Greeks, is another journey. And it is our human condition.”
