Featuring the talents of Bert Ostlund, also known as “East”, this music is inspired from the era when rock and pop music was more or less “born” during the years of 1954 to 1963! The idea was to make a tribute album to some of the most important bands in Britain and USA that were very influential for early, mainly instrumental rock music, but instead of using any existing material, Bert decided to use newly written songs, and in the exact style and genre of all these great bands! As much as possible the original instruments of that time were used, such as a Hammond Chord organ that Johnny & the Hurricanes used or a Fender Stratocaster from 1962 – like Hank Marvin & the Shadows used. Available on Sony’s SACD Format in stereo, not multichannel (which is on purpose, because this is music from the time of mono)
