Darrel Tidaback has been jazzing things up at Indiana University South Bend for a long time.
With his tenure as IUSB Jazz Ensemble director coming to an end, Tidaback will lead the ensemble one last time. Saturday evening at Potawatomi Park in a show being billed as “Darrel’s Favorites.” Combining a mix of traditional favorites and contemporary tunes, the concert will feature a variety of music the ensemble has played within the last year. The playlist includes classic tunes from Dizzy Gillespie, Duke Ellington, and George and Ira Gershwin, as well as contemporary compositions.
