Priest, architect and composer Henry Aldrich was a key figure in the musical life of 17th century Oxford. This second album of his sacred choral music includes verse and full anthems, choral arrangements, recompositions, and occasional music.“Aldrich’s personal involvement with the composition and performance of music for services in Christ Church Cathedral is an indication of his interest and commitment to the shaping of music in liturgy during the years following the Restoration.
