Gerardo Del Monte’s album ‘Step By Step Live in Studio’ is released by Filibusta, a piano-based trio with Gerardo Del Monte on piano, Giuseppe Di Pasqua on bass and Sergio Mazzini on drums. The album ‘Step by Step Live in Studio’ is meant to be a journey between the past, the present and the future. It is a totally new and unique work, recorded in the studio with the presence of the audience. The trio’s idea is to bring the various influences of the individual artists into the tracks: an example is on ‘Another Turn’ with a rock style or on ‘Alone Togerher’ with a contrapuntal arrangement inspired by Bach. The three members combine their musical origins, giving Jazz a personal and eclectic form. The album features tracks from the first work released in 2019, tracks from the piano solo album released in 2023 and rewritten for trio and some tracks from the work, still in progress, to be released in 2026.
