GIANT returns with Stand and Deliver, a new album featuring a revitalized lineup and their signature melodic hard rock sound. The band includes David Huff (drums), Mike Brignardello (bass), Kent Hilli (vocals), and newcomer Jimmy Westerlund (guitars). Westerlund co-mixes the album with Alessandro Del Vecchio, who guests on keyboards. The album features songs by original guitarist Dann Huff, including “Time to Call It Love” and “Holdin’ On for Dear Life.” These tracks connect to GIANT’s classic Time to Burn era. Stand and Deliver blends hard-hitting rock with modern production, pushing melodic rock boundaries. Formed in the late ’80s by Dann and David Huff, Alan Pasqua, and Brignardello, GIANT debuted with Last of the Runaways (1989). Their 1991 album Time to Burn influenced many melodic rock bands. The early ’90s music shift led to GIANT’s disbandment, with members pursuing other projects. Dann and David Huff became respected producers. In 2001, Frontiers Records prompted GIANT’s reunion for III, a key album in the European melodic rock revival. Dann’s commitments prevented a full reunion, but David and Brignardello sought new members. Vocalist Terry Brock and guitarist John Roth joined for 2010’s Promise Land, a fan favorite. GIANT went dormant after a 2017 one-off show but now returns with renewed energy. Stand and Deliver showcases top-tier songwriting and performances, solidifying GIANT’s legacy.
