Goran Stevanovich is considered one of the leading accordionist of the present day. He grew up in Bosnia-Herzegovina and began his accordion studies there. His debut album “Sarajevo” is a musical portrait of a fascinating town, showing him as an ambassador not only of sevdah music. From Max Richter to Bryce Dessner to his own compositions, an unmatched variety of styles and atmospheres can be heard, influenced by Minimal as well as classical East European music.
