The award-winning Greenwich Trio, consisting of Slovenian violinist Lana Trotovšek, Canadian cellist Heather Tuach and Japanese pianist Yoko Misumi, has selected the Brahms Piano Trios Op. 36 and Op. 87 for its debut album, which is also the first installment of a complete trio cycle. Originally conceived as a string sextet, Op. 36 was brilliantly adapted for
piano trio. Op. 87 shows the composer at the height of his compositional powers. The combination of high romanticism, and classical structure demands precision, virtuosity and elegance. The Greenwich Trio has won enthusiastic audiences at concerts throughout Europe, including Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, London’s King’s Place, and the Rheingau Music Festival.
