On The Legend of Sugarbelly, Guy’s gift for storytelling is on full display as he weaves tales of lost love, moonshiners, and redemption. The sparse backing on the recording lets Guy’s voice shine throughout as well as his banjo and guitar playing. On some songs, you’ll find him playing solo, others with a more full accompaniment.

This is Guy’s most complete recording with its engaging storytelling and gritty blues.
