Ikuyo Nakamichi’s long-awaited recording of Mozart concerts is a collaboration with the master conductor Michiyoshi Inoue, who is retiring from conducting in December 2024. Mozart is an important part of Nakamichi’s repertoire, and the concerto has been performed by her since her debut, which has earned her great recognition not only with domestic orchestras, but also abroad, in the UK, the Czech Republic, Canada and Belgium. For this recording, an orchestra named “Ensemble Amideo” was founded by Mr. Inoue, and the players, including the concertmaster Kota Nagahara, whom Mr. Inoue trusts and with whom he would like to share his last music-making experience, came together to perform with him. The recording session was an intimate music-making session. The recording session was held at the Dai-ichi Seimei Hall in Kachidoki, Tokyo, which allows intimate music-making, and on the last day of the recording session, all the players wore white, which gave the performance a uniquely sacred and solemn atmosphere.
