After some short-lived memberships to various groups during the 1960s Daydé was the first solo album in 1970. The following year he had his biggest commercial success, as his version of the title Mamy Blue in October 1971 reached No 1 in the French single charts. His second album White Soul on Lansdowne Records was produced in London studios with British musicians, who included among others, Rick Wakeman and Michael Giles . Daydé’s voice is sometimes compared with that of Joe Cocker or Roger Chapman.
