In 2025, The Great Passion Play in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, introduced a newly updated soundtrack recorded with the Budapest Scoring Orchestra. This orchestra is known for its work on projects such as Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning and the series Wednesday.

The new score was recorded in August 2024 and replaces the previous version that had been in use since 1984. The updated soundtrack is accompanied by a modern sound system with Dolby Atmos support, providing audiences with a more immersive theatrical experience.

These enhancements are part of a large-scale modernization of the production, aimed at deepening its emotional impact and improving how the story of the final days of Jesus Christ is perceived.
