When it comes to musical prodigies, Kemuel Roig stands out as a shining example of talent nurtured from a young age. Born on December 18, 1988, in Camagüey, Cuba, Kemuel’s love for music began at just four years old, with an early passion for drums. His journey into music education started at the Vocational Art School “Nola Sahig” in Ciego de Ávila, where he mastered both classical piano and drums over five years.Kemuel’s relocation to Miami in 2002 marked the beginning of a new chapter. By the age of 18, he was already making waves, performing with the MDC Hard Bop Ensemble at Italy’s prestigious Umbria Jazz Festival. His talent was further validated the following year when he received recognition from DownBeat Magazine in two categories: outstanding composition and piano solo.
