“Retrospektiven” is the title of the debut CD by young organist Lukas Nagel, who won the Grand Prix and the special prize for the best interpretation of the contemporary commissioned composition at the International Olivier Messiaen Competition in Lyon in 2022. In addition to his own transcription of J. S. Bach’s 1st Violin Sonata, Lukas Nagel will also play his Chromatic Fantasy and Fugue in D minor in Max Reger’s arrangement. In the Trois Impressions op. 72 by Sigfrid Karg-Elert, the enchanting romantic colors of the new Mühleisen organ in the Murrhardt town church come into their own. Karg-Elert’s “retrospective” Solfeggio e Ricercare from Music for Organ op. 145 forms the brilliant conclusion to the recording.
