As the pandemic subsides and the music revives in 2022, Marc Copland has released his first quartet CD in several years, which features some of the best talents on the New York scene. Copland believes that this is one of his best recordings ever, and after listening to it, we can understand that! You don’t really have to introduce Marc Copland anymore. At the age of 74, he is probably at the peak of his skills and is therefore one of the few jazz pianists who play at the highest level. In any case, John Abercrombie and Gary Peacock were of this opinion , because they played in his bands for over 30 years and he in theirs. Drew Gress, the other veteran in the band, has been omnipresent in the jazz scene for the last three decades and also needs no introduction. He masters the entire instrument with breathtaking virtuosity, and his understanding of time and harmony is perhaps unsurpassed among his peers
