I Think Of You With Every Breath I Take by Marlene VerPlanck is a long unavailable collection of American popular songs was recorded in Mono on November 29, 1955 at Rudy Van Gelder Studio in Hackensack, New Jersey by the famed recording engineer Rudy Van Gelder. It was when Marlene was just beginning her career.
The album makes the point that our greatest recording artists have been steadfast throughout their careers about quality material, and about surrounding themselves with only the best players. This album will gladden the hearts of Marlene VerPlanck fans.
Originally issued on Savoy Records, the album is now being made available to listeners from Jazzology Records and the George H. Buck Foundation Jazz catalog. The album’s Original Mono Analog Tapes were used to create new DSD and DXD editions of the album by Rene Laflamme at 2xHD Mastering.
