The Munich Radio Orchestra was founded in Munich in 1952. In addition to the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, which has been in existence since 1949, the second orchestra formation of the Bayerischer Rundfunks was thus created. In the Munich orchestral landscape, the radio Orchestra is considered a body of sound with a wide artistic spectrum.[1] Due to its guest concerts and its large number of recordings, it is also present nationwide and on the international phonogram market.
