Pacific Eardrum is a jazz-rock band in late 1970’s, co-lead by New Zealander keyboardist Dave McRae and his wife Joy Yates. The project issued two albums, “Pacific Eardrum” in 1977 and “Beyond Panic” in 1978, and ended its activity in 1979.
This is the second album from Pacific Eardrum, recorded in 1978.
Compositions by Dave MacRae, Joy Yates, Isaac Guillory, Jeff Seopardie Billy Kristian and Brian Smith. The group spent a few days at Chipping Norton Studios in the country town of Chipping Norton UK. It was a live in situation with the odd trip to the local pub and these songs/tunes are the result.
As we sail out to sea on the magic carpet, we hope all you adventurous listeners will enjoy the music from all those years ago and still find it has tracks with strength and appeal.
