From fourteen to seventeen years old, pushed by his older brother, he worked as second violin at the Folies Bergère.At the age of seventeen, he joined the Geloso Quartet, where he played the viola part, and thus traveled throughout France, but also to Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Germany and Austria, where the ensemble had the opportunity to perform in the presence of Johannes Brahms, who congratulated the young French performers.
