Relief Party, the new band around guitarist and ‘uncrowned king of contemporary jazz’ (Jazzism) Reinier Baas, celebrates the release of a new album. Featuring the trio Deadeye with Reinier Baas, Kit Downes and Jonas Burgwinkel.

Deadeye is a supergroup with some of the most progressive jazz musicians in Europe. They take a fresh look at the traditional combination of organ, guitar and drums. From a broad musical spectrum, jazz, rock, British folk and 20th century classical music are fused together. Unpredictable, yet danceable. Complex, yet melodic.

Relief Party plays dance music for Peculiar People, written during that long-gone time when we were still each other’s hairdressers and popular anger erupted around toilet paper. A celebration of life and of the collective human experience, by six greats of European avant-jazz. Their first album is now finally available on vinyl.
