With their fourth album at Coviello Contemporary, the Riot Ensemble returns to Deutschlandfunk with soprano Sarah Dacey to make a chamber music recording that ranges from the huge architectural spaces of Alex Grove’s Three Forms to Enno Poppe’s wild and virtuoso grapes. The musicians, who are constantly reassembling themselves and dividing them into different subgroups of the group (soprano, violin, viola, cello and piano), show the warmth, precision and burning expressiveness that earned them the title “Supergroup of New Music Soloists” in the UK and led them to festivals such as MaerzMusik, Wien Modern and Dark Music Days.
