Vecchioni had been a successful lyricist for some years when, a record company of the time , convinced him to enter the recording studio to also become an interpreter of his songs. The album was thus recorded in 3 days… The musical artistic result was certainly affected, to the detriment of the writing of the song, but this sound document represents – in addition to Professor Vecchioni’s debut album – also the platform from which to denounce falsehoods, the hypocrisies and stereotypes of this world where we are all entangled and which will represent the key themes of all his poetics. Many victims of this society are represented in the album: the Poor boy victim of betrayal, the theme of religion in Per la cruna di un needle with the story of the two half-brothers “Poeta” and “Accountant” in Parabola which develops the theme of the double, so dear to his production… But the place of honor of the songwriting goes to Luci a San Siro, balanced between his accusations against the recording world which only expects “songs” from him, and the memory of love and youth put before his desire to write songs… in short, pure poetry in music!
