Famous for its deeply engaging performances of the ancient repertoire and for the promotion of new progressive music, the critically acclaimed Ruisi Quartet has built a reputation as a charismatic and expressive young ensemble.
Dedicating the same commitment to both the established classical repertoire and new progressive works, the group presents an insightful and unique programming, along with the refined and expressive performance of which the quartet has become synonymous, emerging as one of the spearheads of the new generation of British string quartets.
Known for his commitment and belief in the performance of a wide range of music, the quartet has garnered great appreciation for its historically informed performances of Purcell and Ha Ha Based in London, the group regularly performs throughout Europe in major concert halls,and recently presented a new work by Thomas Ades at theigmFounded in 2013 by brothers Alessandro and Max origin british/the sicilian, the quartet is a winner of the Kirckman Concert Society Artists award and the Royal Philharmonic Society award for Young String Players, in addition to having received a Career Development Award from the Banff International String Quartet Competition 2019.
