Recorded April-July 1982 at Morin Heights in Quebec, Canada.
Signals is the band’s ninth studio album, released in 1982. It was the follow-up to the (what would become) seminal Moving Pictures album. Stylistically, the album was a continuation of Rush’s foray into the technology-oriented 1980s through increased use of electronic instrumentation such as keyboards, sequencers, and electric violin. The record finished up the year at number10 on theBillboard 200 chart and number 3 on the UK Albums chart. Signals features popular singles “New World Man”, “Subdivisions”, “The Analog Kid” and “The Weapon”.
