DUX presents an album featuring music known to a few connoisseurs so far. We will find here works by Józef Zeidler, one of the most interesting composers associated with the Classicism in Poland, who has been forgotten for many years. Starting from 1775, Zeidler was associated with Święta Góra in Greater Poland, where a church ensemble operated in the monastery of Oratorian Fathers. The composer provided it with his works of religious and liturgical nature. This was by no means a provincial creation – Zeidler was inspired, among others, by Mozart’s operas, which testifies to his open and modern approach to the compositional art.On this album we can hear three compositions: Veni Creator for soprano, choir and orchestra (including 2 flutes, 2 trumpets, strings, organ), an excerpt from Offertorium Missae – alto aria Omni die dic Marie accompanied by flute, strings and organ and an extremely interesting arrangement of The Litany of Loreto for a four-voice vocal ensemble accompanied by 2 flutes, 2 horns, strings and organ.
