The popular punk band The Menzingers from Philadelphia released the extended special edition of their critically acclaimed seventh album yesterday: ‘Some Of It Was True (Deluxe)’, is now available via Epitaph! The Menzingers are adding two new tracks to their collection of thoughtful sing-a-longs with gripping choruses, including the already available single “Gone West”.

Both new songs will also be available as a limited 7-inch vinyl and can be pre-ordered.

The Menzingers are also releasing the music video for “Gone West”, which was shot and edited by Tyler Long, a good friend of the band and a member of their touring crew. The video, which was recorded during their big headlining tour last winter, shows a collage of endearing moments on and off the stage. Check it out below:”We recorded ‘Gone West’ at the same time as ‘Some of it Was True’. Although we thought it didn’t fit the album perfectly, it contains some of my favorite guitar and vocal melodies. The text is a tongue-in-cheek allusion to accepting the truth about one’s own mortality. I always found ‘Goin’ West’ an interesting euphemism for dying; going towards the sun.” – Tom May
