In 2025, the ABC is celebrating the piano and its unique ability to connect with music lovers of all ages and abilities, across all genres: on TV, with the ABC series The Piano, and on ABC Classic, inviting listeners to nominate their favourite piano pieces for the Classic 100: Piano countdown. Now from ABC Jazz comes Australian Jazz Piano: a new album featuring both contemporary and archival solo piano recordings, drawn from decades of performances captured at and by the ABC. The album highlights the rich variety of sounds produced on the instrument and showcases some of the finest recordings in the ABC Jazz collection.
