Tezcan was born on March 15, 1945 in Istanbul, Turkey as the daughter of Cemal Konca, one of the first makeup artists in Turkey. He started his artistic career with music in 1954 at the age of 9 and continued as a singer and actor until his death in 2023. He became known for the track There is a Village Far Away, for which Ahmet Kutsi Tecer wrote the lyrics. He completed his first record called Şahin Idim/Tosuno in 1963 within Emre Plak. Then he moved to Odeon Record Company, one of the favorite music companies of the period, and got a good circulation with his music studies here. Among the musical works he performed Dec.; My Brunette, Especially Dadas, Shoot and Kill Me in My Cinema, The Mountains of Erzurum, Oh How Narrow the World Is, I have Seal Eyes and the Fig Tree in Front of the Hospital can be counted. Attracting the attention of filmmakers with his music career, he made the transition to cinema by taking part in the 1965 film Gönül Kuşum, directed by Ümit Utku, together with Yılmaz Güney.
