It was only after a few years of marriage that Chai Min and Johannes Hustedt discovered by chance, which brought them together on stage, that alphorn and flute sound fantastic together.

Since then they have been performing as a duo querhorn with a classical repertoire, such as J.S. Bach or W.A.Mozart, and also alpine music, as well as works by contemporary composers. They were guests at the chamber concerts of the Baden-Baden Philharmonic Orchestra, DAS FEST Karlsruhe, the Hohenloher Kultursommer, Kultursommer Nordhessen, the International Bach Academy in Stuttgart and the SWR TV show “Kaffee oder Tee”. Concert tours have taken her to Switzerland, Great Britain, Ireland, Canada, the USA, South America, Georgia and the Mediterranean region.

In 2022, KREISRUND media produced an artistic TV documentary about the duo querhorn, directed by Magdalena Adugna, and was also included in the ensemble funding of the German Music Council and NEUSTART KULTUR.

“The joy of the multicultural richness that is present everywhere today awakened our need to delve deeper into diverse musical genres. Together with musicians from different genres such as jazz, pop, world music and folklore, we expand into different trio formations”.

On this CD they invited numerous guests, such as Susanne Keck, Roman Rothen and Karin Schnur.
