London nonconformist FelixThe1st announces the release of his debut project ‘i hope you never fit in’, out February 21st.

Last year FelixThe1st won the MOBO Award for Song of the Year for ‘Own Brand (Freestyle)’, heralding the arrival of a future-facing figure within rap. His debut project is altogether a more aurally dissonant affair, a pivot to a shoegaze and grunge-inspired terrain across a thirteen-track mixtape exploring themes of teenage angst, heartbreak, and romance. To tease the project, the 22-year old London artist has today shared lead single ‘Swan Song’, a glazed mesh of affected vocals and spectral guitars.

Felix is also a next-gen fashion maven. He’s recently appeared in an Ed Hardy campaign alongside presenter and DJ Henrie, and modelled for luxury streetwear designer Marc Jacques Berlon’s collaboration with Mortal Kombat.
