Until this album, I have always been reluctant to improvise; both in studio and in public. But this album has been an opportunity to reflect: I am letting go, letting go of my fears, letting go of my old habits and am happy to improvise two pieces on it. Since the recording of this album I have started improvising at least one piece at each of my concerts.”
