The Hardi Saxophone Quartet consists of graduates of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. Formed in 1990, the quartet won 3rd Prize Chamber Music Competition in Takarazuka (Osaka, Japan).
Masahiro Owada is a lecturer at Senzoku Gakuen University. He received B.M. and M.M. from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. He studied with Yuichi Omuro, Kazuo Tomioka and Nabuya Sugawa. Mr. Owada won the 2nd prize in the Japan Wind and Percussion Intruments Competition in 1990 and 1993. He also won 5th Prize at the Intenational Competition for Saxophone Adolphe-Sax 1994.
Hisasi Onuki received B.M. and M.M. from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. He studied with Keiji Munesada, Nobuya Sugawa and Kazuo Tomioka.
Kazuhiro Ninomiya graduated from Ehime University, special course in the education of music. He recived M.M. from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. He studied with Yosio Nagaoka, Kazuo Tomioka and Nobuya Sugawa. He won 3rd Prize at the Japan Wind and Percussion Instruments Competition in 1993 and 1996.
Saturo Saito is a member of the Eastern Army Band (Japan Ground Self Defence Force). He graduated from Special Course at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. He studied with Yuichi Omuro, Kazuo Tomioka and Nobuya Sugawa.
