Here she has chosen her favorite compositions by Olle Adolphson, and the album is a result of her personal voice in magnificent arrangements, in connection with Olle Adolphson’s incredibly unique vocal treasure.
Iris says about the album – “One September day a few years ago I was sitting backstage after a concert with the Danish saxophonist Christina von Bülow. We talked music, as can be expected from a bunch of musicians and Christina asked if I knew Olle Adolphson. My answer was: yes, he’s the one who wrote trouble, right? I honestly had very little knowledge of Olle Adolphson, but luckily I took Christina’s tips to heart. I went home, sat in bed with a cup of tea and with headphones, listened to now I’ve got the one I want and was completely baffled! After all, it was a completely ingenious composition! It was a mix of everything I love. I heard inspiration from Debussy, from jazz, folk music and the folk tradition in the same song and the lyrics made me cry. I don’t know how many times I listened to repeat, but I became obsessed to say the least.”
