Immersing the listener in French atmospheric piano soundscapes, Martin La Pelle (the alias of versatile Dutch musician Martin Scheppink) offers his debut album ‘Douce Mélancolie’ on the new Aragosta Piano label.

Expect stirring, cinematic compositions that play on your heart strings – with clear heads and tails, led by melodies that wil linger in your head for days and transport you to other realms. 

Martin’s track record includes being a member of rock band The Silverfaces (2013-2019), as well as being the keyboard player for Hadewych Minis (2013-2018). His talent was also noticed by Douwe Bob (2017-2021).

These collaborations led Martin to perform live at hundreds of shows, including notable festivals such as Lowlands, Zwarte Cross & Concert at Sea, as well as national radio and television shows. As a recording artists, he has played keyboard for many single and album releases.
