Dutch gospel soul sensation Michelle David & The True-tones is celebrating a triumphant return after her 2022 work “Truth & Soul”, which was named one of the albums of the year by BBC Radio 6. The focus of the combo is the former New York church choir singer Michelle David, known for successful musicals/shows (Mama, The Sound Of Motown, Glory Of Gospel, Mahalia) and as a backing singer (Diana Ross, Michael Bolton). On the album “Brothers & Sisters” recorded live in the studio, the band once again masterfully manages to capture the raw, dynamic energy and the soulful atmosphere of their live performances in the studio, where they captivate the audience with upbeat grooves, powerful vocals and strong melodies, inspired by old gospel, Curtis Mayfield and Bobby Womack to classics from the renowned Stax label.
