The queen of this fiery quartet, whose name refers to a Wayne Shorter composition, is Delphine Deau, pianist and composer, the pivot of this group of former students of the Paris Conservatoire, as close-knit as they are complementary. Each of them brings his own freedom of sound: Camille Maussion and his lyrical and organic saxophone, Pierre Demange, a drummer familiar with the world of film, and the Brazilian Pedrio Vio Ferreira, an all-round bassist. With two albums already under their belt, the Néfertiti Quartet continues their exploration of permanent movement.
