Nenad Vasilic’s new album “Bass & Strings” with around 20 excellent musicians from different parts of the world will be released by Galileo Music in mid-July. This is the 14th album by the outstanding European double bass player, band leader and composer, and features several highly original ensembles. The album “Bass & Strings” contains 10 compositions, most of which are by Vasilic, while the rest are traditional and spiritual songs that Vasilic arranged for various ensembles – from solo bass to piano trio to large ensemble with string quartet. Vasilic still combines jazz with elements of Balkan music and deepens this musical direction to unimaginable limits. Jazz, world music or simply Nenad Vasilic music with a new album that transcends all boundaries of musical genres and impresses with creativity and innovation.
