The trail of successes linked by an excellence from Andria continues: yesterday the release of “I sing Caterina” by Patty Lomuscio was released on all digital platforms.

The singer herself tells the details: «The album is dedicated to Caterina Valente, born in Paris on 14 January 1931, Italian singer, guitarist, showgirl and French-born Italian actress. I have always admired Caterina who in my opinion is one of the greatest Italian jazz musicians in the world. You have collaborated with Dean Martin, Perry Como, Chet Baker, Ella Fitzgerald etc

I decided to dedicate an entire album to her with her greatest hits: Till, Personality, Nobody in the world etc. Thanks to the friendship and collaboration with Vito Dimodugno and the same passion for Valente, we planned the album and finally recorded it in the studio in Bari, at the Sorriso studio.

Our traveling companions are exceptional jazz musicians: in addition to me on vocals and Vito Dimodugno on Hammond organ and Rhodes piano, there is Pietro Condorelli on guitar, Massimo Manzi on drums and two special guests, Pino Pichierri on clarinet and on the trumpet Mino Lacirignola.

There is only one unreleased song dedicated to her, which among other things is the single from the album: “Hai understand her who is” written by Gianni Giannotti with lyrics by the Rai writer-director Idalberto Fei who also wrote the liner notes.
