Bassist Jan-Philippe Wadle plucks cloud-soft bass lines, Florian Hermann plays both gripping and restrained on his drums and Thilo Wagner shows himself to be a lyrical pianist on the noble Fazioli grand piano. With Bruno Müller they invited one of the most renowned German jazz guitarists. It was worth it! A playful swinging standard like “Stardust”, the relaxed bossa “Estate”, the dreamy ballad “The Shadow of your Smile” or bluesy tracks “Georgia on my mind”: these four musicians celebrate the classics of jazz history casually and delicately but always with emotional depth and subtly noticeable swing feeling.
