Since its foundation in 1790, the TRIO has developed into one of the leading German piano trios, playing the music on the instruments of its time of origin. The year 1790 marks the approximate middle of the ensemble’s repertoire, which focuses on the period between the first piano trios around 1760 and the end of the Viennese Classical period around 1820.
