Alfredo Ponissi was born in Turin on December 18, 1955. His career spans a span of thirty years, encompassing paths ranging from music – he is a composer and fluently plays all saxophones, flute, clarinet, piano, as well as being an excellent singer – to writing, poetry, screenwriting for theater and cinema. Ponissi began his artistic and professional activity in the Solar Big Band of Giorgio Gaslini in ‘ 81, participating in two shows on Monk and Ellington with Giorgio Albertazzi and Elisabetta Pozzi (over 60 dates) and playing for the major Italian theatrical bodies.
