Heikki Ruokangas, a master of Guitar Improvisation from Oulu and famous in Europe, visits the Hamina Rhythm Club. Ruokangas, one of Finland’s few freejazz musicians, conjures an incredible amount of moods from his guitar. More recently, e.g. the guitarist, who has worked closely with American musicians, is visiting Hamina for the first time.The other performer of the evening is the loviisalainen-Helsinki trio of drummer-composer Juho Peltonimen, who conjure up modern jazz moods. The band playing original tunes on the upcoming album” Dust Dancing ” will serve the Finnish jazz folk at Tullimakasini a generous dose of European-style jazz.
